Not every healthcare delivery is a specimen

Clinics, hospitals, and long-term care facilities move more than lab work — inventory needs to get from a supplier to a receiving dock, equipment needs to move between a facility's own sites, and records sometimes need to travel between offices without going through the mail. TyVia handles these deliveries the same way we handle specimens: with couriers trained for healthcare environments and a shipment that stays in their control the entire trip.

We serve clinics, hospitals, vendors, and long-term care facilities throughout Whatcom and Skagit counties — Bellingham, Ferndale, Lynden, and Blaine in Whatcom County, and Mount Vernon and Burlington in Skagit County.

How a supply or equipment pickup works

Describe the item — its size, weight, and any handling needs — when you request a quote or a pickup. We confirm whether it fits within the vehicle assigned to the run before dispatching a courier, since TyVia is a courier service, not a moving or freight company, and every shipment needs to fit safely and securely in the cargo area.

Vendor pickups work the same way: tell us the pickup location and destination, and we coordinate timing with both the supplier and the receiving facility so the delivery arrives at a time your receiving staff can actually accept it.

Handling and delivery confirmation

Cargo areas are kept clean and organized, with separation between unrelated shipments during transport. At delivery, items are handed to an appropriate recipient at the destination — a receiving clerk, nurse, or designated staff member — who signs our delivery log to confirm receipt. That confirmation is recorded against your shipment's reference number.

For sealed documents and records, the same handling standard applies: the package stays sealed and in the courier's direct control from pickup to hand-off, and is not left unattended at the destination.

Size, weight, and scheduling

Limits on what we can carry depend on the vehicle assigned to a given run, so describe the item up front rather than assuming — we would rather confirm capacity before a pickup than turn a courier away at your loading dock. One-time equipment transfers and ongoing supply routes are both available; if your organization moves supplies on a predictable schedule, ask about setting up a recurring route instead of requesting each delivery individually.

Common questions

Answered directly — call (360) 383-5945 if you don't see what you need.

Is there a size or weight limit for equipment deliveries?

Limits depend on the vehicle assigned to the run. Describe the item when requesting a quote and we will confirm whether we can transport it.

Can TyVia pick up from our medical supply vendor directly?

Yes. Provide the vendor's pickup location and your delivery address, and we will coordinate timing with both parties.

Do you deliver sealed medical records between offices?

Yes. Sealed documents are transported with the same handling standards as other healthcare shipments and handed to an appropriate recipient at delivery.
