Business-to-business pharmacy transportation

TyVia's pharmacy delivery service moves medications between pharmacies and the healthcare organizations they supply — not to individual patients' homes. That distinction matters: it lets us build predictable delivery windows around a pharmacy's fill schedule and a facility's med-pass times, rather than treating every delivery as a one-off errand.

We work with independent pharmacies and the clinics and long-term care facilities they serve throughout Whatcom and Skagit counties, including Bellingham, Ferndale, Lynden, Blaine, Mount Vernon, and Burlington. A pharmacy filling for several care facilities in the area can typically be set up on a single consolidated route.

How pharmacy pickups and deliveries work

For recurring pharmacy accounts, we agree on a delivery window that lines up with your fill and receiving schedule — for example, an afternoon run timed to a facility's evening med pass. For one-off deliveries, request a pickup online or by phone with the pharmacy location, destination, and any handling notes, and we confirm the details before dispatching a courier.

Every pharmacy shipment stays in the courier's direct control from pickup to delivery. It is not left in a shared bin, and it is not combined with unrelated packages.

Delivery confirmation and receiving procedures

At the destination, medications are handed to an appropriate staff member — typically a nurse, pharmacist, or designated receiving employee — who confirms receipt by signing our delivery log. That confirmation is tied to the shipment's reference number so both the sending pharmacy and receiving facility have a record of when the delivery was accepted.

TyVia does not offer direct-to-patient prescription delivery, and controlled-substance transportation is only handled where separately arranged and confirmed with TyVia in writing in advance. If your pharmacy needs that kind of arrangement, raise it with us before scheduling so we can confirm what we can and cannot support.

Setting up a pharmacy account

Pharmacies with ongoing delivery volume typically move to a business account, which gives you one point of contact at TyVia and consolidated billing instead of paying per delivery. Whether you need a single daily run to one long-term care facility or several runs across multiple clinics, we can put together a route plan and pricing based on your actual stops and volume.
